Independent wine importer and London wine bar group Humble Grape has continued the rapid expansion of its wholesale division, securing a wave of new trade accounts since April 2025 alongside ongoing investment in its senior sales team.
New additions to the portfolio include hospitality and retail venues across London, Manchester, Aberdeen and St Albans, strengthening Humble Grape’s growing national footprint. These new accounts join an established wholesale roster that includes leading restaurants, hotels and wine-led venues, supported by a strong agency selection featuring sommelier-favourite producers such as Gonet, Bartinney, Paul Lato and Ojai.
The expansion is being driven by a strengthened commercial team, led by Sales Director David Green, who joined Humble Grape in October 2024. Green brings 30 years of drinks industry experience, having successfully built and led sales teams across B2B, retail and e-commerce. His career includes a standout tenure at Majestic Wines, where he grew the corporate division to £30 million, and a decade at United Wineries, working across supermarkets, multiples and UK-wide distribution.
Supporting this growth is Account Manager David Nagy, who brings over 12 years of experience in the wine trade. Nagy has previously held roles at Bedales Wines, Amathus Drinks, and worked harvest and production in a boutique winery in Tokaj, Hungary. His hands-on experience and holistic understanding of the wine supply chain make him a key contributor to Humble Grape’s wholesale success.
Commenting on the continued momentum, David Green, Sales Director, said:
“Humble Grape’s wholesale business continues to grow apace with the unique proposition of a directly imported portfolio of family-owned, organic and sustainable wineries. With an agency offering spanning all major wine-producing countries as well as emerging regions, the team has enjoyed a strong start to 2025, opening accounts across the UK. With a customer-service-led approach at its core, Humble Grape wines are now available in both the on- and off-trade nationwide.”
