The fourth outing of the International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) will once more be staged at İstanbul Expo Center, on January 6 to 9, 2027. Upwards of 500 exhibiting firms and some 35,000 trade specialists spanning more than 150 countries are due to take part, opening new possibilities for collaboration and cross-border commerce.
Istanbul, Türkiye: The Istanbul Fair Center (İFM) will stage The International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) 2027 on January 6 to 9, 2027. Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. is the organiser, while the İstanbul Carpet Exporters Association (IHIB) joins the Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters Association (GAHIB) in lending support.
As the fair unites Türkiye’s carpet-making prowess on the world stage with cross-border business, wholesalers, importers and manufacturers are set to converge on Istanbul alongside interior designers, chain stores and architects.
One venue for the world’s carpet traders
Exhibitors stand to gain openings in unfamiliar markets, fresh export channels and partnerships across the globe. Overseas buyers, meanwhile, will see the production strength, design talent and well-placed geography that Türkiye brings.
Attendance is forecast at about 35,000 visitors coming from over 150 countries, while upwards of 500 companies should take stands at ICFE 2027.
New trading links are likely to be struck throughout the show between exhibitors and professional purchasers from leading carpet and flooring markets such as Germany, Italy, China, India, Belgium, the USA, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Central Asian countries.
Geography works in the city’s favour
Bridging Europe and Asia, Istanbul is served by well-established transport and logistics links, which lend ICFE broad international appeal.
A dense network of direct air routes serves the city, so professionals anywhere can reach the fair easily, and exhibitors can tap many markets in a single venue.
Reduced customs charge for exhibitors from abroad

A significant new regulation, issued by the Directorate General of Customs at the Republic of Türkiye’s Ministry of Trade, is meant to give the exhibition a boost and widen the pool of foreign participants. Goods carried into the exhibition by overseas exhibitors used to incur, under Türkiye’s customs legislation, a temporary customs duty worked out at 100% of their worth on an FOB (Free on Board) basis. That rate now falls to 10%, solely for ICFE 2027.
The change was shaped through extensive consultation with the competent public authorities and representatives of the trade. It should markedly lessen the costs facing international companies that show high-value products, and is also expected to broaden the spread of participating nations and boost international trade at the show.
Creativity and expertise move to the fore
Trading aside, ICFE 2027 has events planned to promote innovation, sector growth and the exchange of know-how.
Prominent voices in the industry will meet once more at Carpet Talks, whose earlier sessions generated substantial interest, to examine production, design, branding and the way the sector is changing.
The Carpet Design Awards give innovative carpet designs an international platform, ensuring that original work catches the eye of industry professionals. Visitors seeking inspiration can turn to the Carpet Workshop, built around a special concept where designers of various nationalities share the production work.
Fresh commercial prospects for the whole sector
For manufacturers, exporters, importers, distributors, wholesalers, chain stores, architects, interior designers, decorators and other professionals in the field, ICFE 2027 will offer a trading venue for investigating new business openings.
While at the fair, those taking part can find new suppliers, keep abreast of emerging industry trends, join B2B meetings and build up their business networks abroad.
The previous edition brought together 445 exhibitors, along with 31,410 visitors drawn from 127 countries. On the back of that, ICFE 2027 aims for an even firmer footing among the world’s top events for carpets and flooring, by broadening its attendance and becoming more visible internationally.
