A charity run in aid of children is set to take to the streets of Skopje, with international forex brokerage Garnet Trade confirming plans to stage the event in the North Macedonian capital. The initiative forms part of the company’s wider corporate social responsibility programme, which places support for children at its heart.
The firm, which is active across the international financial markets, says the run is designed to harness the unifying power of sport for social good. Funds and support raised on the day are earmarked for initiatives working to improve the living conditions of children in need of care and protection.
Sport and Solidarity Unite for a Common Cause
Organisers hope the Skopje run will draw participants from a broad range of age groups, all rallying behind a single social cause. Beyond raising financial backing, the event is intended to lift public awareness of the challenges facing vulnerable children. As it continues to expand its international work in the financial sector, Garnet Trade says it wants to champion projects that pair sporting activity with genuine social impact, in keeping with its corporate social responsibility ethos.
“We Want to Grow Success Together with Social Impact”
Commenting on the plans, Garnet Trade said: “We believe that a company’s success should not be measured solely by financial results. It is important for us to contribute to the communities in which we operate and, in particular, to support the future of children. Through this event in Skopje, we aim to combine the unifying power of sport with solidarity.”
Further information on how to take part, the route the race will follow, and the organisations chosen to receive support is expected to be released in the weeks ahead. Anyone keen to get involved can register their interest through www.garnettrade.com.
