The Blink 2K+ camera bundle deal running across Amazon’s October Prime Day sale cuts a six-device home security set (one Battery Doorbell 2K+ and five Outdoor 2K+ cameras) from $419.98 down to $119.99, a 71% reduction that price trackers say is the lowest the bundle has ever recorded. That works out to roughly $20 per device, which is a hard figure to argue with if you’ve been putting off sorting out your home security.
October Prime Day runs as a two-day event on 6 and 7 October, so the window is tight.
What the Blink 2K+ Camera Bundle Actually Includes
The headline pitch is whole-home coverage without a single cable. All six devices run on AA lithium batteries, so there’s no rewiring, no electrician, no faff. Each of the five Outdoor 2K+ cameras shoots in 2K resolution with colour night vision and carries an IP65 weather rating, plus 4x digital zoom, useful for working out whether that parcel on the step is yours or checking what’s going on in the driveway at dusk.
A word of honesty on the night vision: colour mode depends on ambient light being present. When conditions are too dark, the camera falls back to standard black-and-white infrared. Worth knowing before you assume you’re getting full colour footage at 3am.
On battery life, PCMag‘s review of the range notes that Blink’s two-year battery claim assumes efficiency settings at 1080p under typical use. Running everything at full 2K with frequent motion events will shorten that estimate. These cameras are also compatible with accessories built for the Outdoor 4, including a floodlight mount and a battery extension pack, both sold separately.
The doorbell records at 1920 x 1920 with a square 140-by-140-degree field of view, meaning visitors appear head to toe in frame. It can be mounted wire-free or connected to an existing wired doorbell, though the wired connection is the only route to triggering a mechanical chime. Go wireless only, and you’ll need a Blink Chime (sold separately) to hear anything inside the house.
Cloud Storage Costs and the Blink 2K+ Camera Bundle Subscription
A Sync Module Core is included in the box to connect everything up, but it cannot store footage locally. After a 30-day free trial, keeping and sharing clips means subscribing to cloud storage. Plans start at $4.99 per month, or $49.99 for the first year (renewing at $69.99 annually), for a single camera. For unlimited devices, it’s $19.99 per month, or $149.99 for the first year before renewing at $199.99 annually. Without any subscription, live view and motion alerts still work, you just can’t save or share the footage.
It’s worth understanding what’s behind the Blink brand at this point. According to Business Insider, Amazon paid about $90 million to acquire Immedia Semiconductor, the company behind Blink. Immedia was founded in Massachusetts by veterans of the chip industry, and the deal folded the cameras directly into Amazon’s growing ecosystem of connected home devices. That background explains why the hardware sits so neatly inside Prime, and why the storage subscriptions feed into Amazon’s own infrastructure.
The bundle is listed at Amazon for $119.99 through the end of October Prime Day on 7 October. If you miss the window, price trackers suggest this is the lowest the six-device set has been sold for, so there is no guarantee it comes around again at this level.
